The Corners of Their Mouth: A Queer Food Zine

Issue 1: Fall 2017

The Corners of Their Mouth: A Queer Food Zine vol. 1. A pink and blue risograph cover. Illustration depicts a person wiping the corner of their mouth with a napkin as well as pomegranates, sunflowers, chestnuts, kale, corn, raspberries, asparagus, etc.

This zine is part comic book, part cookbook, and 100% queer. The Corners of Their Mouth contains recipes, comics and illustrations about food, cooking, and daily life from a nonbinary bisexual couple living in the Pacific Northwest.

  • Risograph printed by Paper Press Punch
  • 8.5 x 5.5 inches.
  • Recipes and essays by L.M. Zoller
  • Illustrations, comics and layout by Robin Elan

This zine contains good and useful recipes, comics that are both sharp and adorable at the same time, and a heartfelt introductory essay. As an added bonus, this zine also stained my fingers bright pink, which made me feel as fierce and empowered as if I had battled a dozen evil strawberry donuts and emerged triumphant. (The zine comes with a clear plastic slip cover, so no worries if you’re not feeling the pink.)

This zine was risograph printed by Paper Press Punch in Seattle, WA!
